The Windows and Doors Success Story of Chuck and Ev Rockholt

By Gates Dearn

In our society bad news travels fast and good news has a tendency to crawl along at a snail’s pace. The same is true when talking about complaints vs. testimonials. As a business owner, It’s always a pleasure when one of our customers sings our praises. Especially if they are willing to do it on video, something that many people are afraid of doing. In this article I want to tell you about one of my favorite success stories.  It’s the story of Chuck and Ev Rockholt. In this article we will list the items that sold them on HomeRite Windows and Doors. We will also include a short video of them telling their story so you can hear exactly how they made their choice.  Listen to them carefully and you will hear how we won them over.

New to Jacksonville

To start our story off, Chuck and Ev had just moved to Jacksonville and did not have a lot of connections here. They looked in the phone book and checked around before calling a vendor to give them a proposal. The first vendor proved disappointing so they continued their search. They called HomeRite Windows and Doors and when they met Gates Dearen, they were immediately put at ease. You see at HomeRite Windows and Doors, our sales method is a no pressure, educate the customer sales approach. We believe a well educated customer will make a smart decision. We feel that pressure should never be part of the equation.  Helping people find a solution is what we care about.

Experience Counts

Now the Rockholt’s told us that they had been through this process before in their previous house where they lived before. They were relatively savvy window buyers who knew basically what they were looking for. That's why they rejected the first vendor who was not looking out for their needs. They could spot when someone was trying to lead them instead of trying to help fulfil their requirements.

Upgraded to New Beauty

The Rockholt’s ended up replacing all the windows in their home. Their selection really made this older home look beautiful.  The new windows opened up the views from inside the house while at the same time improved the energy efficiency. They knew that their old windows would cost them considerably more in energy cost and that replacing them would pay for the new window in a few years time. Plus the house would feel so much warmer in the winter and cooler it the summer, something that is important to them.

The Little things Make a difference

After the project was finished the Rockholt’s told me that they were really impressed with our crew. They loved how fast they were, how they cleaned up any mess and how professional and courteous they were while on the job. The whole job took about a day and a half and the finished house was now a beautiful home.

In our business it’s not uncommon for one of our customers to thank us for a job well done. It’s also not rare for them to love the windows and doors we installed for them or to recommend us to their neighbors. We are blessed and grateful when customers like the Rockholt’s step forward and allow us to tell their story in their own words on video.

In this article I told you the success story of Chuck and Ev Rockholt. The windows and doors industry has both honest vendors and those who will try and take advantage of you. We have always prided ourselves on putting the customer’s needs first. Consequently, we have many clients like the Rockholt’s. As a matter of fact, it’s the norm for our company

Enjoy the Rockholt’s testimonial video and learn from what they have to say. Always make sure that any vendor trying to sell you something is trying to provide a solution that meets your budget, aesthetic and functional needs. Make sure they take the time to explain the features and benefits of their products and make sure they give you a realistic time frame. Take the time to visit their showroom and ask for references.  And never, ever bow to high pressure sales tactics. In the future, I will write about other success stories.  Each new success story will share a different perspective and it is our intention to help you avoid the mistakes that others often make.  If you enjoyed this article, please share it with your friends. If you have something to add, write it in our Comments section below. It’s been my pleasure sharing this success story with you. Until next time.

  1. The only credible testimonials are video testimonials. It's too easy to post bogus written testimonials.
